Suitable for all collet type brake disc callipers with integral parking feature.
Applications:
Audi; 80, 90, V8s, Ford; Sierra (ABS), Granada (’85 on), Ford (Australia/NZ); Telstar, Laser, Honda; Prelude, Jaguar; XJ40, Mazda; 323, 326, Mitsubishi; Galant GLSi, Nissan; Silvia 1.8 Turbo, Rover; 800 Series, Saab; 9000, Subaru; L & Series 2, Toyata; Celica, Corolla GT, MR2, VW; Golf & Passat (112bhp).
Operating Instructions:
Park the vehicle and, in accordance with manufacturer’s guidance procedure, remove the appropriate wheels(s).
Chock remaining wheels to prevent vehicle moving.
Do not apply handbrake.
Note: Remove calliper retaining fasteners to afford access to the brake piston.
Do not damge or kink the flexible brake line.
Disconnect the brake pad wear warning cables (if fitted) and remove the worn pads.
Select the appropriate side of the drive key.
Note: Some pistons require turning back under pressure, use the reaction plate and lead screw in these cases.
The reaction body is fitted into the calliper fork.
The 3/8” square drive on the force screw engages the drive key.
If little reaction force is required the drive key can be used with a 3/8” square drive ratchet and extension.
